Architexture Garment! 

Entry Deadline Extended to Feb 20, 2010

Alaska Fiber Festival is looking for wearable garments that are architecturally inspired. 

Hoops, paper, coffee filters, duct tape, velveteen, polyester, sateen, paint, dye, stitch, aluminum foil, chore girls, with a sprinkling of nuts and bolts.

Just create.

This wearable art challenge must be able to be worn by models as they may be modeled in the fashion show. A copy of directions of how to wear needs to be included along with a picture.

Judged &Juried,

$500 1st Place,

$200 2nd

ENTRY RULES 

Each entry must:
* include the entry fee of $20.
* include a signed copy of the Entry Form
* be ready to wear
* have a sewn cloth label on the back (inside) or attached listing the name of the piece, the artist’s name, address, and phone number
* be packed in a cloth bag labeled with the artist's name, address, and phone number. 

To assure item is modeled correctly include a picture of item as to be worn with instructions, please.

If the artist chooses to offer for sale, the price of the garment must be listed
on the entry form; the Alaska Fiber Arts Association will retain 20% if the sale price.

Artists are responsible for door-to-door shipment and return freight.
Please put your name on all packing material so your parka can be repacked as received.
Items also can be picked up at 5pm March 14 at the Conoco Phillips Atrium.
